360Works Products and FileMaker Server for Linux
Along with most of the FileMaker Community, we are glad to see the continuous advancements of the FileMaker platform, especially for FileMaker Server 19! If you haven't heard, Claris' new release of FileMaker Server for Linux allows you to host your apps on Linux, which is an industry-standard OS, providing high availability and reliability.
Today, we wanted to share with you where we are in the improvements and updates of our products for compatibility.
Current update on 360Works products compatibility with FileMaker Server for Linux:
- 360Works MirrorSync - Works with FileMaker Server for Linux, with certain limitations. There is no installer yet, so you will need to follow our instructions for manual installation, and automatic file uploads and downloads do not work yet, so you would need to do this yourself by downloading databases from the FMS Admin Console. We are anticipating that both of these issues will be resolved in a future MirrorSync release and we will make a general announcement once this is ready. - 360Works SafetyNet and 360Deploy - These currently do not work with FMS for Linux, but we are confident that a future release will fix this.
- 360Works Plug-ins (including but not limited to: Scribe, Email, CloudMail, Plastic, FTPeek, JDBC, Charts, Web Assistant, ScriptMaster, and SuperContainer Companion Plug-in) - We are hard at work getting 360Works plug-ins enabled for FileMaker Server for Linux, and will make a general announcement once this is tested and ready.
