Build smarter. Scale faster.
Senior Claris-certified engineers who design, untangle, connect, and maintain FileMaker systems. We've been building custom software since 1996, for organizations that run on it every day.
Success by design.
Most software projects fail two ways: by trying to ship every requirement in one giant phase (the "big bang"), or by building in isolation from the people who'll actually use the software (the feedback gap).
We work the other way around. We pick a small, useful entry point — something we can ship in weeks, not quarters — and we keep client feedback as the spine of the project. Each phase is quoted as a distinct unit, so the cost is clear before we start. When the business changes mid-project (because it always does), the process can absorb it without restarting the clock.
Initial discovery
We take the time to sit down and listen to you. You walk us through the pain points in your current workflow, or lay out your vision for building one from scratch. We take detailed notes and ask the questions that come up. By the end of the conversation, we have a picture of how your business runs and the beginnings of what a better version looks like.
Pick the engagement that fits where you are.
Get the design right before you build.
On a new system, or a major addition to one that's already live, the expensive mistakes happen before anyone writes code. We start with the data model, how it connects to the rest of your stack, and what gets built in what order.
Then you get a proposal: what we'll build, how long it takes, what it costs, and what we'd do differently. We quote each phase on its own, so you know the cost before we start.
- Data modeling and schema design
- Platform selection and capacity planning
- Proposals quoted phase by phase
- Plans any developer can pick up, so you're not locked in to us
Make your system safe to change.
Years of quick fixes leave a system nobody wants to touch. It's full of scripts no one remembers writing and fields no one dares delete, and every change feels like it might break something else.
We map what's actually in there and stabilize the fragile parts, then modernize in an order that keeps you running the whole time. That includes the old FileMaker versions most shops won't go near.
- A written audit of the whole system
- Upgrades from legacy FileMaker versions
- The riskiest problems fixed first
- Documentation your team keeps
Connect FileMaker to the rest of your stack.
We've spent three decades writing the integration plugins FileMaker developers rely on. Connecting your system to a payment processor, a CRM, your accounting software, or an internal API is routine for us.
We also build the workflows that run on those connections: approvals, scheduling, generating documents. These are the processes that cross several systems and can't afford to drop a record partway through.
- REST and SOAP API integrations
- Custom plugin development
- Workflows that run across your systems
- Error handling that tells you about failures before your users notice
Senior engineers who already know your system.
Much of how your system works lives in the head of the developer who built it: the schema, the scripts, and the reasons behind both. When you come back with the next project, the same developer picks it up.
If that developer isn't available, you're not starting over. We keep what we learn about your system in-house and pass it on, so whoever picks it up already knows how it works.
- Senior engineers on call during business hours
- The same developer for your future projects
- Knowledge of your system kept in-house
- A clean handoff if your developer is out
Tell us about your project.
Give us a summary of what we can build or improve for your business. We'll match one of our experienced developers to your needs, and our consulting team will reach out to talk it through. Our project manager will work with you on the full requirements spec, so don't worry about covering every detail here.
