FileMaker 2025 Ready!

Sync FileMaker calendars with Google, Apple, and Outlook.

Two-way sync

Publish FileMaker event records to Apple, Google, Exchange, and Office 365 calendars. Edit an event in your calendar and Zulu writes it back to FileMaker; change the record and it flows back out.

Edit from any device

View and edit your FileMaker events on iOS, Android, or the desktop. Zulu honors FileMaker's record-locking and access privileges, so people only see and change what they should.

Apple Reminders

Drive native iOS reminders from FileMaker. Fire location-based alerts when someone arrives at or leaves a job site, and track when a reminder is completed or seen.

Per-user calendars

Serve each user a filtered slice of one events table, so different people see different calendars without you managing a table for each.

Turn FileMaker into a calendar server.

Zulu keeps your calendar events in sync with FileMaker records across Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Exchange or Outlook, in both directions. Because it runs against FileMaker Server, it respects your record-level access privileges and record locking, so each person syncs only the events their privilege set allows.

System Requirements

All of our products are supported on Mac, Windows, and Linux — system requirements are the same as those of FileMaker.

Common questions.

360Works Zulu is a Web Application designed to run alongside FileMaker and sync calendar and event information from Google, Office 365, and Apple Calendars to a FileMaker Database. As such, Zulu requires access to your Google and Office 365 Calendars to function properly. You can see more details in our Privacy Policy

Zulu can integrate with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Office 365 Calendars. For Apple Calendar integrations, Zulu acts as the Calendar Server, and iOS devices will connect directly to Zulu to retrieve calendar information. For Google and Office 365 calendars, Zulu performs a sync between FileMaker and Google/Office 365. When you integrate with Google or Exchange (not Apple Calendar), you need to set up a Sync Configuration in the Zulu Admin Console. See more about setting up the different types of calendar configurations on the Zulu Documentation Page

The recommended approach is to have one events table, then serve a subset of that table to each user, with each user getting a different subset of the events. This really helps on the backend, as it would be downright painful to manage a different events table for each user. We recommend using the built-in Zulu calendar filtering, which allows you to filter the events for each calendar based on a field and value of your choosing. For more information, visit the Filtering Documentation Page

There are 2 easy setup options: if you only want your users to see the events and prevent them from editing (read-only), then you will want to make use of Calendar Subscriptions. See how you can make use of Calendar Subscriptions here: Claris - Integrate FileMaker with the Calendar of Your Choice

Alternatively, if you want your users to be able to edit events as well, you will want to setup a CalDAV account on their device, which is easily accomplishable using Zulu's AutoDiscovery feature. See how to use AutoDiscovery and add CalDAV accounts here: Integrating Apple Calendars

Yes, the Zulu_PostEdit script is called after every event is inserted or updated. You can add your own logic to this script to modify the event, add additional information to the description, or add an FMP url to the event so it can open FileMaker from the calendar. See more about the Zulu_PostEdit script, and all other event hooks here.
Also, check out how you can use the Zulu_PostEdit script to add an FMP url to the event after inserting it into FileMaker: How to Sync FileMaker with Apple Calendar Appointments Using FMP URLs

This is often caused by Apple refusing to connect to a server that either does not have an SSL certificate, or has an invalid SSL certificate. We have documented a few workarounds here:
Zulu - Troubleshooting Adding Calendars
Alternatively, if you need assistance aqcuiring and installing an SSL certificate, contact us for help.

FileMaker does not store any time zone information, so by default, Zulu will use the time zone of the machine it is running on. In cases where your server is in a different time zone than your users, you can customize which time zone Zulu will use when evaluating dates and times from FileMaker. See more info in the documentation here: Zulu Advanced Settings - Timezone
